Happy Memorial Day!

For a mama with a son that is scheduled to head to basic training for the Army National Guard in less than three months, this day is more poignant than usual.

Thank you to our service men and women that protect our country and are willing to fight for our freedom.

And, the counting of gifts continues:

~  flags waving in the wind, reminding me of our freedom

~  boys on bikes, laughing and enjoying each others company

~  Miss S. riding the Harley with Mike for first time

~  day at the lake, watching kids swim

~  outings with good friends

~  fried chicken and homemade macaroni salad

~  ice

~  air conditioning

~  ceiling fans

~  fur babies with their summer hair cuts

What are you thankful for?

Oh Melissa, I hadn’t realized your son is heading to basic training soon.  I will pray for him.  How grateful I am to the men and women who serve in our military.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie
